Our Story
Skybridge Mandarin was founded in Shanghai in 2021 by a team of professionals passionate about Chinese language education with years of experience in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
Many years ago, we began teaching Chinese with a simple goal: to help people communicate more confidently and effectively in Mandarin.
At first, our focus was practical — pronunciation, everyday sentences and the basic expressions students needed for daily life in China. We saw our role primarily as language teachers, helping students improve step by step.
Then one student shared an experience that changed how we thought about our work.
He told us that a simple Chinese sentence he had learned in class had transformed an everyday interaction. For the first time, local people understood him more naturally, and he felt more able to participate in the life around him.
It reminded us that language is about more than vocabulary and grammar. It gives people access — to conversations, culture and a deeper understanding of the people around them.
Over the years, we have seen this repeatedly. Students often share their appreciation through messages, small gifts and handwritten cards using the Chinese characters they have learned.

Edison Li holds a Master's degree in Management and Finance from the University of Sussex. He has experience in education operations, course management, and international student services. With a strong cross-cultural background, he focuses on improving teaching quality, student experience, and operational efficiency, helping learners from diverse backgrounds enjoy a professional and supportive Chinese learning experience.
Tina Tian
田爽婷 Tián Shuǎngtíng
Curriculum Director
Tina Tian holds a Master's degree in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language from Fujian Normal University. She has over 10 years of frontline Chinese teaching experience. She has one year of overseas Chinese teaching experience and previously worked as a Chinese teacher at CIEE Shanghai Center and CET Academic Programs Shanghai Center. She is responsible for building and optimizing a systematic Chinese language curriculum system, formulating teaching standards, updating course content and leading curriculum R&D for international students.
Tracy Tang

Star Chinese Teacher
Tracy Tang holds a Master's degree in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language from East China Normal University, a prestigious university in China. She has 8 years of Chinese teaching experience. She has a lively personality and is warm and patient with students. Her classes are vivid, lively and highly engaging. She specializes in daily spoken Chinese, HSK Standard Course, Chinese Character class and Spoken Chinese Course for Kids.
Ethan Wu

Star Chinese Teacher
Ethan Wu holds a Master's degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages from East China Normal University in Shanghai. He worked as a Chinese language teacher at a Confucius Institute in Italy for two years. He has 8 years of Chinese teaching experience. He is patient, engaging and culturally sensitive. He is familiar with overseas students' learning habits and can adjust his teaching style according to students' learning styles.

Providing academic guidance and quality assurance for Skybridge Mandarin's Chinese language programs
Professor at the School of International Chinese Education, Yunnan University, Professor Zhang has dedicated more than three decades to the field of International Chinese Language Education. He has taught in Australia, the United States, Bangladesh, and Iran, and previously served as the Chinese Director of the Confucius Institutes at North South University in Bangladesh and the University of Tehran in Iran. He supports Skybridge Mandarin by providing academic guidance and ensuring the quality of its curriculum and teaching.
